This Little Device Lets You Identify Your Check Engine Light–Right From Your Smartphone!

This device has changed the way we deal with auto repair shops (and saved us a bundle).

We have no choice but to depend on mechanics to keep our cars running smoothly…but I’ve always felt like mine might be overcharging me or selling me stuff I don’t really need.

And apparently, I’m not alone…a recent AAA survey¹ says that more than 66% of Americans feel the same way.

I wanted to figure out if my auto repair shop was being honest or ripping me off.

That’s when my friend told me about FIXD…it’s a device that’s supposed to tell you what kind of work your car needs done AND how much it should cost to fix things.

Sounded pretty good…but I wanted to test it to see if it was all it was cracked up to be.

Spoiler Alert: It is…and if you own a car made after 1996, you’ll want to check it out too.

What Is It?

FIXD is a little car scanner (called an OB2 scanner) that communicates with your smartphone via Bluetooth.

FIXD instantly tells you (in plain English) why your ‘Check Engine Light’ is on, how severe it is, and how much the repair should cost – leaving shady mechanics in the dust – no longer able to rip you off!

How Does It Work?

When you buy FIXD, you get this little scanner that plugs into the OB2 port that’s available in any gasoline powered vehicle built after 1996 (this is the year they required all vehicles to have this port).

This is the same port that mechanics plug their readers into to run diagnosis on your car.

After you plug it in and start your car, you open the app on your smartphone (it’s free and available in the Apple and Google app stores) and click the big green button to start the scan.

Once the scan is complete, you’ll get a few items:

1. Warning light diagnosis (if applicable)

If you’ve got a dash warning light on, it’ll tell you WHY it’s on, HOW SEVERE the issue is, and how much you should expect to pay to fix it

2. Mileage-based Maintenance Reports

FIXD reads your mileage, tells you how close you are to your next scheduled maintenance, and explains how much you should expect to pay.

What It Did For Us

I was skeptical if FIXD could provide any value to me as I didn’t have any warning lights on…but BOY was I wrong.

After plugging the FIXD into my truck, it gave me a rundown of what I should be expecting at my 30,000 mile check in (as you can see, I was a bit late on getting it into the shop).

It told me I should be expecting to pay between $200-300 for these repairs.

When I took it into the repair shop I’ve been using for YEARS, they quoted me $873 in repairs…and without FIXD, I would have told them to go ahead.

But armed with this information, I told them I’d get back to them next week as I had to get to an important meeting.

I drove my car straight to another repair shop and got a quote for $332…a bit higher than the estimate by a far cry from the “ripoff” from the shop I’d been visiting for years.

FIXD has already saved me about $550…and I didn’t even have a warning light on.

I’m a FIXD believer…and I’d recommend checking it out for you and your family. With Father’s Day right around the corner, I can’t think of a better gift for the ‘hard-to-buy-for’ dad!

"Saved me from being stranded!"

This is one of my favorite gadgets of all time. No more going to a shop to get the check engine codes checked and interpreted by someone else. It also alerted me while I was driving that I had two new codes. I drove immediately to the place I intended to get it repaired and the mechanic told me if I hadn’t brought it in when I did, I might have to pay for much more costly repairs and my car breaking down on me. The app is also constantly being updated and made better.

"FIXD works perfectly!"

Well this was one of the easiest products I’ve ever bought. I was have trouble with my car. I bought the FIXD, because I kinda had an idea what was wrong, but before going to the garage I wanted knowledge to back myself up. I was right and FIXD proved me right. It was only the gas filter. The garage want to run all these test but I being the smarter bear showed them what was wrong and only wanted them to fix what “I” wanted fixing.

"Finally, a product worth the money!"

We bought 3 of them so we could monitor the wife’s and daughters car even when they are not at home. What a great product and well worth the money!! "Thanks FIXD."

We got the 2 sensors deal, so my wife and I could decipher that dreaded check-engine light. Although we ran into a few installation issues; thanks to timely, excellent and extraordinary technical support from Casey and Davis at FIXD, those issues quickly became a thing of the past. In summary, these guys are the bomb! I highly recommend FIXD.

"A HUGE Relief."

Liked how easy it was to use, and app download was straight forward. I needed to know quickly if the engine light was indicating a major fault that would prevent from going any significant distance. The unit indicated that it was only a minor issue that needed to be dealt with which was a relief.

"Money Saver."

A great little device. It worked exactly as described and arrived on time. Given that mechanics charge upwards of $40 to read your car’s service codes, you only need to use it twice to have it pay for itself.
