How $60 And A “Shark Tank” Invention Finally Relieved My Chronic Back Pain
November 5, 2020
On the day I finally quit waiting tables and started working at a “real” job (you know… one that requires you to sit behind a desk all day) – I remember thinking my back pain troubles were over.
“This is great,” I told myself as I slowly reclined into the hunched-over, super-comfortable, totally-terrible posture that would soon become my go-to position for 8+ hours every day.
I wish someone (more specifically my doctor) would have warned me that 1 out of 2 people who work at a desk job will develop back-pain in their lifetime – but he didn’t. And in a matter of months, the minor back pain I had from waiting tables worsened into a slipped disc in my lower back – a condition that put me in unbearable, buzzing pain throughout the day.
As you can see from my MRI, it was not a pretty sight:
My search for back pain relief
The idea of living with chronic pain for the rest of my life is terrifying to me. However, I’m not the type to just swallow a pill and move along. (Painkillers are effective – but only while you’re taking them. In the meantime, you get addicted. No thanks.)
I wanted a permanent and natural solution, so I tried all sorts of remedies: Yoga, chiropractors, physical therapists, stretching exercises, ergonomic chairs… you name it.
Money was no object in my pursuit of relief – I must’ve spent more than $5,000 on appointments, devices and weird plant extracts. I even tried techniques to distract myself from the pain.
Nothing worked. I got some relief here and there, but I never found the silver bullet I hoped for. Frustrated and tired, I eventually gave up hope.
Until this happened: a package arrived at my doorstep with a note from a friend.
Inside I found the BetterBack – a new back-pain relief invention that apparently did really well on “Shark Tank” and sold a gazillion units in 24 hours or something crazy like that.
To be honest, I was pretty skeptical and did NOT expect it to work (since nothing else did and usually these types of products are all hype).
But let me tell you..
Boy, was I wrong.
I’ll put it this way: I’ve been wearing BetterBack for the last 4 months (I’m actually wearing it right now) and I won’t let anyone take it away from me.
Here’s a pic of me wearing it at work (thanks Jenn!):
As Seen On
So why does BetterBack work while other solutions don’t?
Until I tried it, I didn’t understand why so many of their customers talked about “pain melting away” – but that’s EXACTLY how putting on the BetterBack feels. It’s instant.
The reason it works so well is because of the way our spines work. As you probably know, our spines aren’t straight – they actually have an inward curve. Take a look:
Chairs, however, have an L shape, which forces the spine out of its natural shape. This is especially dangerous if we sit for long periods of time. (Chairs were clearly invented before desk jobs – they’re horrible for us!)
The BetterBack counteracts this problem by keeping your spine in the position that it wants to be in, no matter where you’re sitting – at your desk, on your couch, on a plane – anywhere!
The BetterBack supports the whole spine (including the pelvic area), which is why it provides instant relief to those who suffer from chronic back pain.
Pain relief in just 3 simple steps!
BetterBack makes every chair ergonomic.
I’m so grateful for BetterBack – it seriously changed my life.
Sometimes I get anxious just thinking about the fact that I almost didn’t try the BetterBack (thanks again Brad!). You’d think I would be more upset about the fact that I wasted thousands of dollars when $60 would have done the trick… but honestly, I’m just happy to feel “normal” again.
That said, if you’ve tried everything to help relieve your back pain, but nothing has worked, I can’t recommend BetterBack enough.
It's like a reset button for your back.
